ACADEMIC PAINTING OF LACOON CAST
Valerie Allard is a traditionally trained oil painter who studied at the Florence Academy of Art and finished her training at the New York Academy.
Allard’s portfolio includes professional, family, and individual portraits; however, she specializes in children portraiture. Her portraits hang in private collections in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Inspired by American and European Masters such as John Singer Sargent, Velazquez, Rubens and Rembrandt, Allard has developed a style of portraiture that is dignified, finely executed and respectful of the traditions from which portraiture has risen.
"...for me, the hours I spent with Valerie were a pure joy," Norman Reimer, Executive Director of the NACDL. "I asked Valerie to find a way to bring the viewer into the act of bar leadership so that it may in some sense inspire others to guide our bar associations, and remind them, as each program and event unfolds, of the responsibility they carry. I think Valerie achieved that objective."
